Imagine what would have happened if they put a fraud fee to every employer caught employing an undocumented. It would have helped reduce undocumented crossing and employed by US employers but also used the same money from fraud penalty to secure the borders.
On the money Pappu. Why not charge employers who employ un-documented....instead of 600 million, US might get 6 billion.

Nope, still waiting for I-140. Opened a ticket with both local congressman and USCIS.
CM replied saying "file is with manager for review".....whatever that means...

thats true, but when does the target timeframe clock start? when they receive the app or when the priority date becomes current?
I just now talked to an IO and she said that last Friday the processing dates for NSC are all wrong and its a mistake. Those will be corrected soon in couple of days.

I just spoke to Congressional office and this is what she has to say:

That, I am told, means Nebraska agrees to re-examine your I-485 denial and a decision should be forthcoming within 60 days. But she agreed that my second MTR might have been on sidelines and the congressional office inquiry into the matter could have influenced USCIS to review my case ( probably with a supervisor) immediately. She told me that she would put another inquiry with NSC in 4 weeks if nothing comes up. Finally we have decided to forgo (just for now) the process of writing letter to the NSC Director as it might not add much weight to the process, as congressional office would be repeating the same argument that my Attorney has made regarding the AC21, which a supervisor is already looking at.
I have already waited for 3 months. Another 2 months might take its toll on my emotional drain.

These companies will pay the extra fees, but will change their onshore/offshore model. Will use less H1/L1 visas , but will increase the headcount of offshore operations.
So the smart senator will force more jobs to be outsourced. These jobs will never comeback once gone. If we look back at the 2000 recession, it caused a major shift in the way US companies looked at outsourcing. Pre-2000 many companies didn't believe that all jobs could be outsourced. 2000 recession forced them to think otherwise.
These kind of bills will cause a re-thinking in corporate america's thought process. They will think of creative ways to outsource. Against this senator's hopes, it will reduce jobs here.

I am not supporting this bill in anyway, I hate infy as much as I hate this bill. Remember these companies did not leave any stone unturned, milked the client every possible way and expoilted the employees to the maximum extent. In one another post - VLDRao was saying these companies does the tax filing on behalf the emoloyee, get the refund and again claim that tax in india using double taxation aoivdance treaty.

We applied on 8th Aug for AP; Got receipts with receipt date of 13th Sep from NSC. I got my AP approved on 14th Nov. but we are waiting on My wife's AP since. Haven't received it.
So we are planning to get our H1/H4 stamped and travel without AP. My Lawyer thinks it shouldn't be a problem

You maybe right. Visa numbers are being wasted because of the pressure being put by people wanting their notices. So many people are calling everyday distracting the USCIS employees. Intead of blaming USCIS for it, tracker thread people should also introspect and also be willing to share some of the blame. :D

One of my friend got receipt for I-140 and I-1485, He send on July 30th to Nebraska Service center. I have send on the 2nd July still waiting.

can we put up forum threads here for state chapters or some kind of direct link or page for each individual state chapter
Doing state chapters through list servs is just not working out.
I think IV is trying to bring State Chapters also onto the website instead of individual list serves. I do not have any details, maybe pappu or Aman can throw light on this. But nevertheless, we can currently execute things in the way we are doing now.
