So did not see how things unfolded and what actually happened. I am in no mood to narrate and spoon feed it to you. If you think aila did something for you, then why are u arguing here on this forum and why do u want access to some donor forum. Why don't you go and join aila? If noone is even doing anything here, why do u want access to some useless forum. You don't think anyone has done anything or anyone is doing anything, right? In any case i really prefer all you EB2 I guys get their GC and get out of our way so that we EB3 I guys get our (GC) seeing that is the only way we will get ours. :D:D:D
At least if not GC i hope you guys get to file 485 to receive benefits like EAD and AP. Then you will not have to worry about going to India for a vacation. I know it is painfull to go to the embassy again for stamping.

They don't allow unpaid Commercial Advertising on these sites. Posting IV flyers can be construed as Commercial, even though IV itself is non-profit. I don't want them to ban my IP!

starscream does hae a very valid point, just the dates becoming current doesnt mean we are out of the woods. The dates can retrogress any time and then we might again be stuck in limbo even after we get our 485 application in. We absolutely have to keep going on the CIR front as well.

Are we/employees really supposed to know all the steps involved in the approval of GC process (Perm, 140/EAD/485 etc.)?
I work for one of the fortune 100 companies, to my surprise, none of my European colleagues is aware of all the GC process. All they do is just provide documents what ever the HR department asks for. They don�t pay from their pocket for GC (ideally correct). None of them has clue about priority date etc�.they get communicated by the HR department about their GC process.
So putting your case in perspective. I am assuming that the HR department would just hand over the GC to the employee. Neither the HR (I think) nor the employee (definitely) would worry about the PD being current.
Ideally if a law firm is point of contact for a petition, what would they do? Would they go back to USCIS and tell them that the GC is approved by mistake? I don�t think so but some one can confirm if they had experience otherwise.
I highly doubt the HR dept of an organization is filing labor certs, I-140s and I-485s without the assistance of immigration attorneys whether in-house or outside counsel. I work for one of the largest hospital chains n the US, and our HR offices use external counsel for immigration matters.

I had lawmaker apointment (in Rayburn building across the street from where the rally ended) after the rally. There were 10 Indians giggling at me. At first I thought they attended the rally. I was walking in their direction when their looks got weird and I realized they did not attend the rally!

To what one member said; we don't like it both ways. A question to the original poster. Had this been an emergency and USCIS delayed your EAD by three weeks, I bet you would be screaming and yelling at their inefficiency. Yes, the system is broken. Look at the bright side. At least an attempt is being made to fix it. If this were India you would be paying a hefty sum to God knows how many people to get something as simple as a birth certificate. And let me ask you one other question. When was the last time you picked up a phone and called your local MLA hoping that he or she will resolve the water problem in your area? Again, you would be paying decent money and runaround the MLA's private secretary to get ten minutes on the MLA's calendar.
So dude, put-up or shut-up. Things are changing and if you want it any faster then you should give up your day job and dedicate yourself to the cause.

Ask your attorney to write a letter in response to RFE and explaining the situation you never took the job with employer X though the H1B transfer or new is approved, this will clear the query of USCIS. One catch, you should have maintained a continuous employment with #2 and demonstrate the same to USCIS. Good luck!
